Week 1 - Selecting Landscape Images
I went on https://unsplash.com and looked up for 3 different landscape images:
1. Lake original photo |
2. Mountains original photo |
3. Desert original photo |
Week 2 - Blocking out
I've decided to work on the second option, mountains.
Outline the rough shapes |
Refinement 1 |
Refinement 2 |
Final Refinement |
It was tricky not being able to use the eyedropper tool directly on the reference photo. This tests my colour accuracy and sensitivity to colours.
Week 4 - Final Render
Mr Kannan explained to me the importance of seeing the bigger shape, rather than the small details when blocking out the form of the mountains.
REFLECTION
Overall, this was quite exciting, as it has been quite some time since I did something as complex and as detailed as this. Though the task is just to copy the original photo, colour picking was challenging without the eyedropper tool. This stress tests, my ability to pick colours correctly just by looking at it.
