Week 1
In this week's class, Ms Li Lian walked us through the project that we
will be completing by the end of this semester, as well as the steps
that we have to take. This module, as a first impression, feels like
another Minor Project that we have done last year. However, instead of
partnering up with an animation studio, we will be making a few designs
(mainly UI/UX) for a group of business school students. The app that we
are tasked to design aims to connect contractors and homeowners for a
seamless connection. Other than the app design itself, we might also
have to help produce a pitch video, mascot, etc. We also got sorted into
groups of 6 to complete this project.
Week 2
For this week, our group - MBTIC3, started carrying out our contextual
research to first understand what we are dealing with. We created a
WhatsApp group and conducted online meetings to discuss and brainstorm
ideas. We had to rush and work faster for this week, as we were already
a little behind schedule. In one of our online meetings, we arranged
tasks for each of our group member to complete before a set deadline,
tasks such as the empathy maps, user personas, creating a problem
statement, etc. Thankfully, the team is very cooperative and abides with the
set deadlines so we are able to catch up with the current
timeline.

Online discussion (8pm-11pm) |
Once we have all the necessary information and research done in the board, we began to put them into a deck nicely for next week's presentation.
Week 3
For this week, we had to present our research and findings to the class.
Our group had distributed the tasks of creating the slideshow and
transferring our findings from our Canva board to the slides, prior to
our group presentation. We had also timed ourselves to ensure that the
presentation will not exceed the time limit of 15 minutes.
After our presentation, Ms Li Lian gave us her feedback about certain
parts of our presentation:
- A lot has been done from group. However, timeframe is limited for this project, so plan and choose wisely on what we will be executing in order to fit everything within the timeframe.
- Great level of detail throughout the presentation.
- Good data analysis done and a nice way to present them by selecting the more impactful responses.
She also gave feedback for our initial ideas for Task 2:
- It seems like everyone has very different ideas, as we have a few different specializations in the group. The group would have to sit together and discuss the direction we want to proceed with this project.

REFLECTION
At the very start of this module, I was not feeling very enthusiastic about this project as it seems something very similar to our minor project last year. After hearing that we will be mainly doing app design, I honestly became less excited for this project, as it is nothing close to what I am used to in my specialization.
However, things changed when I got introduced to my groupmates and as soon as we started our discussions, I knew this group is a group that can communicate and work together. Upon further discussions and online meetings, we came together and agreed on other things that suit all of our specialization, such as logo design, mascot design, motion graphics, social media postings, etc.
Now, though we cannot be overly ambitious to push out so much work in so little time, I started to feel excited towards this project :)
